TRAVEL DATES:  Delegates...Plan your travel dates to arrive in Orlando on Tuesday, June 30 and depart on Tuesday, July 7, 2015.  Closest airport is the Orlando International Airport (MCO).

The Delegate Election Report Form and other delegate information can be found at  http:www.nea.org/delegaterequirements.  The number of delegates for your association will be listed at the top portion of the "NEA RA Allocation information" email.

NEA 2015 Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly Tentative Meeting and Event Schedule  The delegate program book will be distributed at registration.

Delegates with Physical Challenges must register prior to arrival.  NEA has provided an online link to request these accommodations.

Visit the NEA website for New Business Items, amendmends, and resolutions to be considered at the NEA RA.  Delegates will receive a NEA Today at our caucus meetings which contains full coverage of items considered during the RA.

Washington delegates will be lodged at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld, located at 10100 International Drive; Orlando, Florida 32821.  Delegates should plan to check in on June 30 and check out on July 7.  Our nightly rate for single or double rooms will be $142 + 12.5% tax.  Reservations may be made online or by calling 1-800-327-0363.  When calling, ask for the Washington National Education Association conference rate of $142. 

WEA will make lodging reservations for STATE Delegates based on double occupancy.  If you are a STATE Delegate, return your lodging form to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , WEA Meeting Planner.  If you are a LOCAL Delegate, lodging may have already been reserved for you by your local.  Please contact your local before making your own hotel arrangements.  

Association or council credit card paying for multiple reservations? Association or council paying for hotel room for delegte who is not an authrized signer on that credit card?  No problem with a little preplanning!  Avoid slowdown at hotel front desk on day of arrival. A credit card pre-authorization form must be faxed to the hotel prior to arrival.  Click here for that form.

State Delegates:

Your hotel reservations will be made for you, after returning the State Delegate Lodging Form. Lodging is based on double occupancy for check-in on June 30 and check-out on July 7.  Return completed form by May 30 to Sharon Closson, WEA Meeting Planner ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).  WEA willpay roundtrip transportation expenses up to $750 for State Delegates to attend the NEA Convention.  State Delegates may use the WEA travel site Egencia.com if they have a profile. Contact Sharon Closson for assistance.  State Delegates making their own airline reservations are strongly encouraged to shop for airfares priced at not more than $750.  Southwest Airlines has flights departing from Spokane, Seattle, and Portland.  State Delegates who purchase their own airline tickets must use the WEA governance voucher and attach the original purchase receipt.  Reimbursements will be limited to $750.  WEA will mail cash advance checks to State Delegates in mid-June.

The Human and Civil Rights Awards Dinner tickets are now available to purchase, at www.nea.org/hcrawards for $75 each or a table of 10 for $750.  The dinner is scheduled for July 2, 2015, in the Valencia Ballroom at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL.
